Education ASN lists
Reference lists of autonomous system numbers commonly associated with K-12 school districts and universities. These are BGP-oriented planning aids — not vendor IP allowlists and not a guarantee of current routing ownership.

Methodology
Lists are merged from manual text files, a curated supplement, PeeringDB name matches, IRR education AS-sets
(for example ENA and GÉANT peers), and ipverse education_research classifications. Manual rows
win on ASN collisions. Automated supplements must pass name heuristics; a denylist drops known commercial
networks that appear in NREN peering sets.
Each merged row keeps a source field (manual, curated,
peeringdb, irr, or ipverse) in the dataset used to build these pages.
Spot-check important ASNs with WHOIS or live BGP before writing policy.
